Free Party guide
Free Party is DOPA DASH without a goal or a clock: just you, the music and a crowd that never stops coming. It opens once you clear the first district of the Party Tour.
How a Free Party run works
You start with three vibes and an empty line. Every grey friend you dash through joins you, the crowd keeps arriving, and the run lasts until you lose all three vibes. There is no time limit, so a careful player can keep a party going for a long time. Your score and the size of your biggest party go to the world and weekly rankings.
The party multiplier
Your line is your multiplier. As it grows, the party level climbs from HANGOUT and PARTY through RAVE and FESTIVAL to WORLD PARTY, and every boop is worth more. Stop booping for a while and friends start leaving from the back of the line, so the multiplier rewards a steady rhythm of dashes more than occasional big ones.
Staying alive
Bumping into a chestnut with its spikes up, a charging horn friend or a boss slam costs one vibe and knocks a few friends off your line. PARTY TIME, which you start by tapping on a DROP, gives one vibe back and makes you safe from bumps for a few seconds. A bubble shield power-up blocks one bump. Between those, you can recover from mistakes for a long time.
Using power-ups well
Power-ups drop onto the floor during a run. The rainbow roller doubles your reach and the star wand zaps two more friends with every boop, so both are best used just before you dash into a crowd. The ice pop freezes everyone for three seconds, which is a safe window to cut through a busy area. The party popper makes every boop burst for six seconds.
A plan for a high score
Spend the first minute building a long line with safe, on-beat dashes. Fill the groove so you always have a DROP ready when the floor gets dangerous. Use PARTY TIME for your longest, riskiest dashes through the densest crowds. If you lose a vibe, go straight back through the friends who fell off your line before they wander away.
